New expressways: 4 new expressways will be built at an expense of Rs 59 thousand crore, will cover 1063 KM

Bihar New Expressway Rs 59173 crore will be spent on the construction of four expressways in Bihar. Out of this, 1063 km of road will be built in Bihar. The construction of Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway, Raxaul-Haldia Expressway, Patna-Purnia Greenfield Expressway and Amas-Darbhanga Expressway will speed up transportation in the state. The Chief Minister said that the land acquisition work for the proposed expressway should be ensured in a proper and timely manner.

New Expressway: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a high-level review meeting of four expressways proposed and under construction in the state in Sankalp Room located at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday. During this, the Chief Minister was informed through a presentation that 1,575 km of expressway will be constructed under four major projects.

84 thousand 734 thousand crore rupees will be spent on this. 1,063 km of road will be constructed under these projects in Bihar. 59 thousand, 173 crore rupees will be spent on construction in Bihar.

This is how the construction is to be done

The Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway will pass through eight districts of Bihar namely West Champaran, East Champaran, Shivhar, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria and Kishanganj. Its total length is 600 km, of which 415 km is in Bihar.

The second expressway is between Raxaul and Haldia. Its length is 702 km, of which Bihar’s share is 367 km. It will pass through East Champaran, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Jamui and Banka districts.

The third expressway is Patna-Purnia Greenfield Expressway. It will start from the proposed Dighwara bridge under the Patna Ring Road and go to Purnia. Its total length is 250 km. This expressway will go to Purnia via Saran, Vaishali, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Madhepura districts.

The fourth expressway is the Amas-Darbhanga Expressway. A four-lane spur will also be built along with it to provide connectivity to Bodh Gaya and Rajgir.

Chief Minister said- Get the land acquisition work done on time

The Chief Minister said that the land acquisition work for the proposed expressway should be ensured in a timely manner. People should not face any kind of inconvenience in this work. The construction of the expressway will speed up traffic in the state. Time will be saved in going from one place to another.
