The summer timetable will be effective from March 31. At present 18 flights are being operated daily from here. Passengers will have to wait for air travel from Dehradun to Ayodhya. No slot has been found for Doon-Ayodhya in the new timetable.
Airport Director Prabhakar Mishra said that flights are being operated from the airport to Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Amritsar, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Hisar. Flights are also being operated within the state.
Seven flights increased
In view of the increasing number of passengers, seven flights are being increased in the summer timetable. So that the passengers going out of here and coming to Uttarakhand from outside can get convenience. He told that Indigo Airlines will have 18 flights daily in summer. Apart from this, four flights of Alliance Airlines, one flight of Flybig Airlines and two flights of Vistara Airlines will operate.
Flights will operate daily to Pithoragarh
Deputy General Manager of the airport, Nitin Kadyan said that in the summer timetable, flights will operate daily from Dehradun Airport to Pithoragarh. Flights are operating for Pantnagar four days a week.
He told that at present flights to Ayodhya are operating three days a week till March 31. But, the flight to Ayodhya is not included in the new schedule. But in view of the passengers going to Ayodhya, efforts are being made to operate flights there.
