Gorakhpur Shamli Highway: Preparations have started to build another new highway in Uttar Pradesh. This highway will pass through 15 districts, which will further increase the connectivity facility of the state. This highway to be built between Gorakhpur and Shamli will make monitoring of the India-Nepal border easier. Work has started on this by NHAI. Demarcation will be done soon. This highway will pass through Lucknow, Sitapur and Bareilly.
Work is going on rapidly on the construction of new expressways and highways in Uttar Pradesh. Due to which road construction and connectivity has increased in the state. In this sequence, now Gorakhpur-Shamli highway is also going to be included. Work on this highway construction will be seen soon. This highway will pass through 15 districts of UP. These include many districts which are considered backward in terms of development. After the construction of the highway, the convenience of movement of the people here will increase and it will take less time to go from one district to another.
The highway will pass through these districts
According to media reports, this highway will be between Gorakhpur and Shamli and will reach Bahraich via Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Shravasti. Next, it will come from Lucknow and Sitapur to Shamli via Lakhimpur, Pilibhit, Bareilly and Moradabad. Bijnor and Meerut will also be connected to this highway. The construction of this highway will also make it easier to monitor the Nepal border.
According to NHAI, the process of demarcation of this highway will start soon. After demarcation, the work of land acquisition will start soon. It may take some time for the land acquisition work to be completed, after which the highway construction will start. It will take at least three years to build this highway. Talks have also taken place between UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Road Construction Minister Nitin Gadkari regarding this. NHAI has the responsibility of its construction so that there is no problem.
