New iPad device launched with A13 Bionic chip, new design found in iPad mini

Apple claims that it is six times faster than Android tablets. The iPad 9’s selfie camera is also improved and it is equipped with Apple’s Center Stage feature, which was earlier present in the iPad Pro.

Apple has introduced the new iPad aka iPad 9th generation at its “California streaming” event on Tuesday. With this, the company has also unveiled the iPad mini, which is the iPad mini 6. The new regular iPad is equipped with the A13 Bionic chip, which is claimed to deliver 20 percent faster CPU, GPU and neural engine performance than its previous iPad model. Apple claims that it is six times faster than Android tablets. The iPad 9’s selfie camera is also improved and it is equipped with Apple’s Center Stage feature, which was earlier present in the iPad Pro.




Accessories support is present in the new iPad, which includes Apple Pencil. On the other hand, the new iPad mini 6 gets a completely new design update, which looks like the latest iPad Air and iPad Pro. The new iPad mini models have features like USB-T, 5G support and Touch ID in the power button.

New iPad, iPad mini price, availability

The price of the new iPad starts at Rs 30,900 in India, which is the price of the Wi-Fi only model. At the same time, the price of Wi-Fi + Cellular starts from Rs 42,900. Storage models start at 64GB, with Space Gray and Silver color options available for purchase. Talking about the iPad mini, its price in India starts from Rs 46,900, which is the price of the Wi-Fi only model. At the same time, the price of Wi-Fi + Cellular starts at Rs 60,900. It has 64 GB and 256 GB storage model options, in which you get Black, Dark Cherry, English Lavender and Electric Orange color options available for purchase.

The price of the new iPad starts at $329 (approximately Rs. 24,200) in the US, while the new iPad mini starts at $499 (approximately Rs. 36,700). Both the iPad and the iPad mini have been made available for order in the US, while their sale will begin on Friday, September 24. At present, no information has been revealed about Indian availability.

New iPad specifications

The new iPad comes in a 10.2-inch display size, which was available in earlier iPad models. However, it does come with True Tone support, which adjusts the screen color temperature according to the ambient light. The new iPad is also equipped with the A13 Bionic chip, which was introduced in the iPhone 11 in the year 2019. Apart from the new processor, the Neural Engine has been given to enhance the performance in the Tab.

Apple has given an all-new camera setup in it. It comes with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with 122-degree field of view and Center Stage feature support. This feature was introduced with the iPad Pro. The 8 megapixel camera sensor is also given on the back panel in the 9th generation iPad.

The new iPad comes with Touch ID Home button, which was also present in the previous iPad. However, there is support for Apple accessories, including the Smart Keyboard and the first generation Apple Pencil, which were not present in the previous models. It also has support for third-party keyboards.

Apple will ship the new iPad with iPadOS 15, which was announced in June during WWDC 2021. The new iPadOS comes with an updated homescreen and an upgraded multitasking feature.




The new iPad comes with Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + 4G connectivity and has a 20W USB-C power adapter.

New iPad mini specifications

The new iPad mini comes with an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, which is bigger than the 7.9-inch screen on the previous iPad mini model. The new iPad is equipped with the latest A15 Bionic chip, which delivers up to 80 percent faster performance than the older generation. The new iPad mini packs a 12-megapixel ultra-wide selfie camera with a 122-degree field of view. In this also you will get Center Stage feature support. A 12-megapixel camera sensor has been given on the back of the iPad mini, which comes with True Tone flash and Smart HDR support. In this you will also get support for 4K video recording.

Apple has extended accessories support to the new iPad mini, including the second-generation Apple Pencil and Smart Folio. The iPad mini runs on iPadOS 15 and it is claimed that its battery provides a full day of usage on a single charge. Apart from this, it has a 20W USB-C adapter.
