GMRL, HMRTC have started the work. It has not been decided yet how many stations will be built on this metro route. An HMRTC official said that GMDA has green area on this road, where the station can be constructed.

Survey up to 5 KM regarding expansion

Geotechnical survey work has been done for about five kilometers for the metro extension from Millennium City Center Metro Station to Cyber City via Old Gurugram. At present, survey is being conducted around Subhash Chowk. HMRTC has currently entrusted the responsibility of surveying 12.76 km of the 28.5 km long metro to a company. Under this, a 30 meter borewell will be dug and water and soil samples will be taken and tested.

Plan to increase road width

Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has planned to increase the width of this road. Under this, there is a plan to leave half a meter partition in the middle of the road on both sides. Now GMRL has said that if there is a plan to increase the width of this road, then the work should be done keeping the metro expansion in mind. A partition of two and a half meters should be left.
