New Metro Stations: Connectivity between Delhi and UP becomes easier with 11 new Metro stations, check stations and other details

Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has received approval to extend the Aqua Line corridor to Greater Noida West. This significant development promises to enhance connectivity between Noida, Greater Noida and Delhi, providing faster and more direct transport options for commuters. Key Features of Aqua Line Extension

Extension approval: NMRC has received approval to extend the Aqua Line to Greater Noida West. The extension is expected to gain momentum after the completion of the current elections, which will speed up construction activities.

New stations: The extension will have 11 new stations, improving accessibility and convenience for commuters. Among these, Sector 61 will serve as an interchange station, allowing commuters to switch between the Aqua Line and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Blue Line.

Better connectivity: The primary objective of the extension is to provide faster and direct connectivity between Noida, Greater Noida West and Greater Noida, eventually enhancing accessibility to Noida and Delhi.

There are 11 proposed stations along the Aqua Line extension:

  2. Noida Sector 61
  3. Noida Sector 70
  4. Noida Sector 122
  5. Noida Sector 123
  6. Greater Noida Sector 4
  7. Ecotech 12
  8. Greater Noida Sector 2
  9. Greater Noida Sector 3
  10. Greater Noida Sector 10
  11. Greater Noida Sector 12
  12. Greater Noida Knowledge Park V

Length and cost of extension

The proposed corridor stretches for 17.43 km and comprises 11 stations. The estimated cost of the extension is ₹2,991.60 crore. This investment underlines the scale of the project and the benefits it offers in terms of advanced transport infrastructure.
