New orders to traffic police to reduce road traffic,What are the new traffic rules?

Traffic police will no longer inspect any vehicles.

Mumbai: Great news has come out for Mumbaikars. Now the traffic police will not be able to stop and harass you unnecessarily, they will not be able to check your vehicle for no reason. Commissioner of Police (CP) Hemant Nagarale has issued a circular in this regard to the Transport Department.

The circular said that the traffic police will no longer inspect any vehicles, especially where there are checkpoints. There the police will only monitor the traffic and focus on whether the traffic will run normally. They will only stop if it makes a difference to the speed of traffic.

In fact, it has often been observed that the traffic police stop vehicles anywhere on suspicion and begin to inspect the interior of the vehicle. This affects the traffic on that road.

In the circular issued by the CP Nagarale to the traffic department, all the traffic police have been asked to stop checking the vehicles, as the traffic on the road was high and doing so would affect the traffic and increase the traffic. This has prompted the police to give priority to monitoring the movement of traffic.

The circular said that if drivers are violating traffic rules, they can be charged by the traffic police as per the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act.

During a joint blockade by traffic police and local police, traffic police will only take action on traffic violations, but they will not inspect vehicles. In case these instructions are not strictly implemented, the senior inspectors of the concerned traffic outposts will be held responsible.

A senior traffic police official clarified that the traffic police should not stop vehicles on the basis of suspicion. “Our troops will continue to crack down on traffic offenses and deter traffic violators,” he said.
