According to NCRTC Chief Public Relations Officer Puneet Vats, three underground stations, Meerut Central, Bhainsali and Begumpul, are being constructed under the RRTS corridor in Delhi-Meerut.

Ghaziabad. Underground stations of RRTS Rapid Rail Corridor are being prepared. Right now the entry-exit gates of all these stations are being built, along with finishing work is also in progress. Track laying activities are currently going on on this underground section of about 5 km long with three underground stations in Meerut. You will also go crazy after seeing the photos.

According to NCRTC Chief Public Relations Officer Puneet Vats, three underground stations Meerut Central, Bhainsali and Begumpul are being prepared under the RRTS corridor in Delhi-Meerut. These underground stations will have Meerut Central and Bhainsali metro stations, while Begumpul will provide both RRTS and metro services. In Meerut, an underground tunnel has been built from Ramlila Maidan (Maruti showroom) after Brahmapuri metro station on Delhi Road to Tank Chowk (MES ramp) after Begumpul station.

Meerut Central is the first station

The first underground station in Meerut while coming from Delhi is Meerut Central. This station has already taken shape. This station will have an island type platform, with four tracks being built on both sides. For the convenience of passengers, 2 entry/exit gates are being built at this station. The roof of one of these is almost ready while work is in progress on the other.

Crowded Bhainsali station is also ready

The next station after Meerut Central is Bhainsali. This area is quite crowded, where bus service is available for Delhi, Ghaziabad as well as Hapur, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Baghpat etc. For the convenience of passengers, 3 entry/exit gates are being built at this station. 4 tracks have also been built at this station. Finishing work etc. is in progress.

Four entry and exit gates at Begumpul

Begumpul is the only underground station of Namo Bharat Train in Meerut. It is the largest underground station in Meerut and the deepest station of Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor. The tunnel work at Begumpul station has already been completed. Being a major business center of Meerut, four entry-exit gates have been built at this station for the convenience of the people. Escalators inside the station are also almost ready and work is in progress for the lift.
