Aseem Manchanda said that after 10 years, the quality of service rules are going to change. Under the new rules, now companies can be fined from Rs 5,000 to 10 lakh if telecom services are bad. A fine of up to Rs 1 lakh can be imposed if the quality of services is not good. Companies will also have to activate filters related to unwanted calls. Companies making unwanted calls can be blacklisted for 2 years.

Due to the changes in telecom rules from October 1, users will get convenience in many matters. Now it will be easy to know which service is being provided by the telecom company in their area. Till now, it was a tough task to find out the availability of network in one’s area, but now this will not happen. Because now all the telecom companies will have to tell on their website which service they are providing in which area.

The rule will become mandatory for all companies including Airtel-Jio and VI from October 1. This will benefit the common users. They will be able to choose the network according to their choice. With just a little effort, you will know which service is best in your area – 2G, 3G, 4G or 5G.

Under the new rules, it will be necessary to join the ‘Whitelist’ to send messages. Companies not included in the ‘Whitelist’ will have to be blocked. So far 3,000 companies have been ‘Whitelisted’. This rule may affect your OTP. Messages from companies not included in your ‘Whitelist’ will not be received. 70,000 message templates are included in the list.
