New rules for Haj pilgrims: This time the Haj Committee of India has issued a guideline with new rules for Haj pilgrims. This time the government has abolished the registration fee, while the facility fee has been doubled. This time pilgrims above 65 years of age will be prohibited from going alone. Earlier this age limit was 70 years.
The Haj Committee of India has sought online applications for Haj pilgrimage till September 9. The government has abolished the registration fee of Rs 300 for Haj pilgrimage registration and has made the facility fee two thousand rupees instead of one thousand. Now during the journey, husband and wife will not be able to stay in the same room. This decision has not been taken by the Haj Committee of India but by the Saudi Arabian government.
Passengers will be accommodated in one building
According to the Saudi government, men will not be able to enter the woman’s room. Till now the Haj Committee of India has been making arrangements to make groups of men and women state-wise and stay in one room. This time, the committee will accommodate Haj pilgrims district-wise in one building. The rooms of husband and wife will be adjacent to each other.
