New Rules OTP will not come on mobile from December 1! Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL users should know the new rule

There is useful news for Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL users. Recently TRAI has changed the telecom rules. TRAI had instructed telecom companies to implement traceability to track OTP based messages. Companies can implement this rule from December 1.

OTP New Rules: As the use of internet and smartphones has increased, many types of dangers have also increased. Smartphones have made many of our difficult tasks easier, but it has also given scammers and cyber criminals a smart way to cheat people. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has taken many steps in the recent past to protect people from scams and online fraud.

To prevent online fraud, recently TRAI had instructed telecom companies to implement traceability. This was a big decision. Let us tell you that TRAI had issued instructions in August to implement the traceability rule related to commercial messages and OTP. TRAI has changed the date of implementation several times.

TRAI extended the deadline

Telecom companies earlier had time till October 31 to implement the traceability of TRAI OTP messages. After the demand of Jio, Airtel, VI and BSNL, the company had extended its deadline till 31 November. Now when its deadline is going to expire in November, telecom companies will have to implement the traceability rule to track commercial messages and OTP messages.

OTP may take time to arrive

If Jio, Airtel, VI and BSNL implement the traceability rule from December 1, then it may take time for OTP messages to arrive. In such a situation, if you do some work like bank or reservation, then it may take time for you to get OTT. Actually TRAI has taken such a step because many times scammers get access to people’s devices through fake OTP messages and this causes huge losses to people. TRAI has decided to strictly implement it to all telecom companies.
