New Rules: The month of July is fast approaching. This month, there are about 10 such rules, including mobile tariff and bank credit card, which are changing. 1- Reliance Jio will increase tariff rates

Jio will increase the rates of mobile services by 12 to 27 percent from July 3. Jio is going to increase mobile service rates for the first time after a gap of about two and a half years. The price of the lowest recharge is being increased to Rs 19. This is a one GB data ‘add-on-pack’ pack, which costs about 27 percent more than Rs 15. The company said that the price of 75 GB postpaid data plan will now increase from Rs 399 to Rs 449. Jio has also increased the price of the popular Rs 666 unlimited plan with 84 days validity by about 20 percent to Rs 799. The prices of annual recharge plans will increase by 20-21 percent from Rs 1,559 to Rs 1,899 and from Rs 2,999 to Rs 3,599.

2- Airtel mobile plans will become expensive

Bharti Airtel has announced a huge hike in mobile tariffs from July 3. In the unlimited voice plan, the company has increased the price of the Rs 179 plan to Rs 199, the Rs 455 plan to Rs 599 and the Rs 1,799 plan to Rs 1,999. For postpaid plans, the Rs 399 tariff plan will now cost Rs 449. At the same time, the Rs 499 plan will now be available for Rs 549. The existing Rs 599 plan will now cost Rs 699 and the Rs 999 plan will now cost Rs 1199. The increased rates will be applicable from July 3.

3- Talking on Vodafone Idea will be expensive

Loss-making telecom company Vodafone Idea has decided to increase mobile rates by 11-24 percent from July 4. Earlier, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel had also decided to increase mobile rates from July 3. The company has increased the minimum recharge price of the entry-level plan for 28 days of mobile service by about 11 percent from Rs 179 to Rs 199. Vodafone Iuia has increased the price of its popular 84-day validity plan with 1.5 GB data per day from Rs 719 to Rs 859. The company has increased the price of its annual unlimited plan by about 21 percent from Rs 2,899 to Rs 3,499. The company has not made any change in the 365 validity plan with 24 GB data limit. Its price remains unchanged at Rs 1,799 for users.

4- Wait for 7 days for mobile number porting

Telecom regulator TRAI said on Friday that in case of mobile SIM change, the mobile number will be considered eligible for ‘porting’ only after seven days. This step has been taken to prevent fraud through mobile phone numbers. Earlier, one had to wait for 10 days to do ‘SIM swap’. But the regulator has reduced this period to seven days in the latest amendment. TRAI said that the purpose of the amended rules is to curb the porting of mobile numbers by anti-social elements for committing fraud.

5- China-Serbia Free Trade Agreement

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced on Friday that both China and Serbia have completed their respective domestic approval procedures and the China-Serbia Free Trade Agreement will officially come into force on July 1. After the China-Serbia Free Trade Agreement comes into force, China and Serbia will step by step eliminate mutual tariffs on 90% of taxed goods. Among them, tariffs on more than 60% of taxed goods will be cancelled immediately on the day the agreement comes into force. The proportion of final zero tariff goods imports of the two sides will reach nearly 95%.

6- NPS: Facility of settlement on the same day of transaction

The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority has allowed settlement on the same day for National Pension System subscribers from July 1. PFRDA said in a statement that the National Pension System (NPS) contributions received by the trustee bank till 11 am on any settlement day will be invested on the same day and the subscribers will get the benefit of NAV (net asset value) on the same day. According to the statement, till now, the settlement of contributions received by the trustee bank is invested the next day (T + 1).

7- Working hours will increase in West Bengal

The West Bengal government is going to increase the daily working hours limit by 30 minutes from July 1 in the state. State IT Industry Minister Babul Supriyo said on Friday that with this decision, the state government has fulfilled the long-standing demand of the information technology industry. He said that however, there will be no change in the maximum limit of 48 working hours in a week. Supriyo said that to maintain competition with other states and to promote the IT sector of West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has given the green signal to change the daily working time limit from 8.30 hours to nine hours.

8- Paytm Wallet

A big action was taken by the Reserve Bank of India on Paytm Payments Bank some time back. Paytm Payments Bank has said that on July 20, 2024, inactive wallets with zero balance and wallets in which there has been no transaction for a year or more will be closed. Paytm has also started informing customers about this.

9- ICICI Credit Card Rules

ICICI Bank has announced to change some rules related to credit card from July 1. Although many rules are changing from July 1, but the most important is the card replacement fee, which has been increased from Rs 100 to Rs 200.

10- PNB Rupay Platinum Debit Card

Punjab National Bank has revised the lounge access program for RuPay Platinum Debit Card. The new rules will come into effect from July 1, 2024. Under the change, domestic airport or railway lounge access will be available once in a quarter. At the same time, you can get access to the international airport lounge only twice in the whole year.;[
