These changes are going to affect your pocket. There will be a change in the price of LPG gas cylinder on August 1. Also, there is going to be a change in HDFC credit card charges. Know here what will change from August 1.

LPG Gas Cylinder Price

The prices of gas cylinders are fixed on the first date of every month. The prices of commercial and domestic gas cylinders are fixed on August 1. Last month, the government had reduced the prices of commercial gas cylinders. This time also it is expected that the government will fix the prices of gas cylinders.

HDFC Bank’s credit card rules will change

Customers using CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik, Freecharge and other such services to pay fare will be charged 1% on the transaction amount, which will be limited to ₹3000 per transaction. Fuel transactions will not attract extra charge for transactions less than ₹15,000 per transaction. However, transactions above ₹15,000 will attract 1% charge on the entire amount, which will be limited to ₹3,000 per transaction.

Utility transaction rules will change

No extra charge will be levied on transactions below ₹50,000. Transactions above ₹50,000 will attract 1% charge on the entire amount, which will be limited to ₹3000 per transaction. Transactions made through third party apps like CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik and others will attract a 1% charge, limited to ₹3000 per transaction. Late payment charge processing has been revised based on the outstanding amount from ₹100 to ₹1,300. Availing the Easy-EMI option at any online or offline store will attract an EMI processing charge of up to ₹299. HDFC Bank will implement the changes in its Tata Neu Infinity and Tata Neu Plus credit cards from August 1, 2024. From August 1, 2024, users of Tata New Infinity HDFC Bank credit card will get 1.5% NewCoins on eligible UPI transactions made using Tata New UPI ID.

Google Maps changes rules, cuts charges by 70%

Google Maps has made significant changes to its rules in India, which will be applicable across the country from August 1, 2024. The company has reduced the charges for its services in India by up to 70 percent. With this, now Google Maps will charge in Indian rupees instead of dollars in exchange for its services. However, this change will not affect the general users as no additional charge has been levied for them.

Bank Holidays in August

The month of August is about to come. Banks will remain closed for a total of 13 days in the year 2024. These include all Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays. Banks will remain closed for six days in the month of August due to weekends. Apart from this, seven days holiday will be due to various festivals. Banks will be closed on the occasion of Independence Day on August 15, Rakshabandhan on August 19 and Janmashtami on August 26.
