New Delhi: Many rules are changing from October 1, two days later. These changes will directly affect your pocket. These include LPG prices, PPF, credit card rules, etc. You should know about these rules. There are many rules which change every month. Also, many companies related to banking etc. make some changes in the middle of the month. Most of the rules come into effect from the 1st of the next month. This time also many rules are coming into effect from the same date.

1. Changes in LPG

On the first of every month, oil companies evaluate LPG. Based on this, companies can also change their price. The price of domestic or commercial gas cylinders changes on a particular date. However, it is not necessary that companies make changes in them. They can continue the price of the previous month. Whether the rates of LPG will increase or decrease or will remain the same as the previous month, it will be known on the morning of October 1.

2. Changes in ATF and CNG-PNG

On the first of every month, oil companies also revise the prices of Air Turbine Fuel (ATF) and CNG-PNG. Companies can also increase or decrease the prices. Air travel can become expensive if the rate of ATF increases. On the other hand, traveling in bus or auto can become expensive if CNG becomes expensive. Due to PNG becoming expensive, the gas coming to the house through pipe will become expensive.

3. HDFC Credit Card

If you use HDFC Bank’s credit card, then you will also be affected from October 1. HDFC Bank has made changes to the loyalty program of some of its credit cards. HDFC Bank has limited the redemption of reward points for Apple products on the SmartBuy platform to one product per calendar quarter. These new rules will come into effect from October 1.

4. Increased minimum wages

  • Workers will now get increased wages from October 1. The central government has increased the minimum wage rate for workers to Rs 1035 per day.
  • Workers engaged in construction, cleaning, loading and unloading of goods etc. will get a minimum wage rate of Rs 783 per day.
  • The minimum wage rate for semi-skilled workers will be Rs 868 per day.
  • The minimum wage rate for skilled, clerical and unarmed watchman or guard will be Rs 954 per day.
  • The minimum wage rate for those doing watchman or guard work will be Rs 1035 per day.
  • The minimum wage rate for highly skilled and those doing watchman or guard work with weapons will be Rs 1035 per day.

5. Change in the rules of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana

From October 1, only legal guardians will be able to operate the account of daughters under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. Earlier this was not the case. If the girl’s account has been opened by a person who is not her legal guardian, then from October 1, this account will have to be transferred to the girl’s parents or legal guardian. If this is not done, the account will be closed.
