PM Internship Scheme: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the PM Internship Scheme in the general budget for the financial year 2024-25, in which about 1 crore youth will get the benefit in the next 5 years. In this program, each intern will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 5000. Apart from this, a lump sum of Rs 6000 will be given separately by the government after 1 year. PM Internship Scheme: How much allowance will be available
In the PM Internship Scheme, every intern will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 5000. Apart from this, the government will give a lump sum of Rs 6000 separately after 1 year. In this monthly allowance of Rs 5000, 10 percent i.e. Rs 500 will be given by the companies from their CSR fund and Rs 4500 will be given by the government.
PM Internship Scheme: 1 crore youth will get benefit
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the PM Internship Scheme in the general budget for the financial year 2024-25, in which about 1 crore youth will get its benefit in the next 5 years. In the first phase, 30 lakh youth will be included in it in the first 2 years, while about 70 lakh people will be linked to it in the next 3 years.
PM Internship Scheme: Opportunity to work in top 500 companies
Under the PM Internship Scheme, the youth will get an opportunity to do internship in around 500 top companies of the country. These companies are going to provide 1 year work experience to the youth by giving 10 percent assistance in this scheme under their CSR activity.
PM Internship Scheme: Who can apply?
Any youth between 21 and 24 years of age who has a 10th pass certificate can apply for the PM Internship Scheme.
PM Internship Scheme: Who cannot apply?
Please note that any person whose family member is in a government job, or whose family’s annual income is more than Rs 8 lakh or who himself is in any full time employment, cannot apply for this scheme.

To apply for PM Internship Scheme, you will first have to go to its official portal and fill a form, where you can give information about your skills and interests. After which, it will be decided where you can do internship based on your qualification.
