The increasing heat in Bihar is becoming a cause of trouble for everyone. In such a situation, how will the children’s school remain untouched by this? Due to the scorching heat, the timing of schools has also been changed. Orders regarding this are being issued by the district administration in various districts.
School Timing Change: Government schools will function from 8 am from April 15. Summer vacation is scheduled in government schools from 15 April to 15 May. During this period, schools will run from 8 to 10 pm.
DEO Ajay Kumar Singh issued instructions regarding this on Wednesday. The DEO said that not only the failed children of class 9th-11th, but special classes will be run for the children selected under Daksh of all the classes. All teachers have to reach school by eight o’clock. Schools will be inspected even during summer vacations. The format for this has been prepared. The DEO said that children in primary and middle schools will be released at 10 o’clock after having midday meal. All headmasters will implement this system. Every day the officers and personnel going for inspection will give report on the number of identified children and class-wise report of the children present.
Change in timing of private schools
On the other hand, private school managers of the capital Patna have also changed the school timings. Many schools in the city have reduced class timings from the first week of April and are giving leave to children from 12 noon to 1 pm. In most of the private schools of the city, classes are being conducted from 6:45 am to 1 pm. In view of the heat wave in many private schools, the ground assembly has also been closed. Necessary guidelines may soon be given by the district administration regarding the timing of government schools.
Problems of children studying in government schools increased
In a way, in most of the private schools of the city, children are being dismissed by 1 pm. At the same time, classes are being conducted in government schools of the city from 10 am to 3 pm. Due to changing weather patterns, children studying in government schools are facing problems in commuting to school and also in studying in class. Due to the heat in the classrooms in the afternoon, in some schools children are being taught outside in the verandah, so that their health does not deteriorate.
