New Sim Card Rules: Now for keeping so many SIMs, there will be a fine of Rs 2 lakh and 3 years in jail.

As per DoT rules, a person can buy only 9 SIM cards with his Aadhaar. Having more than 9 SIM cards will attract a fine of Rs 50,000 for first-time offenders and Rs 2 lakh for repeat offenders.

The Telecom Act 2023 has come into force from June 26. As per DoT rules, a person can buy only 9 SIMs with his Aadhaar. Having more than 9 SIM cards will attract a fine of Rs 50,000 for first-time violators and Rs 2 lakh for repeat violators.

DoT has recently launched a portal named Sancharsathi, which enables users to check all the phone numbers linked to their Aadhaar number.

How to check how many mobile numbers are registered with your Aadhaar

1) To check, you have to visit the portal Sancharsathi.gov.in launched by the government.

2) Now you have to tap or click on the mobile connection option.

3) Now enter your contact number.

4) After this you will get OTP on your registered mobile number.

4) Then, all the numbers linked to your Aadhaar number will appear on the website.

5) From here you can report and block these numbers which you are not using or which are no longer needed.
