Recently, the Noida Metro Aqua Line Extension has been approved. Under this, the option will be increased for those traveling in the areas of Noida and Greater Noida. Under this project, 11 new stations will be added to the Aqua Line, making the movement between these areas easy and accessible. Let us know about it in detail.
Aqua Line Extension
This extension will extend from Sector 51 of Noida to Knowledge Park V of Greater Noida. This area covers a distance of about 17.435 km. Let us tell you that this project has been approved by the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet. It is being told that the estimated cost for this has been fixed at around Rs 2,991.60 crore.
The cabinet meeting regarding this project was chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which highlighted the government’s commitment to improve the public transport basic infrastructure in the region.
11 stations will be added
Under this project, 11 stations will be added. These include Noida Sector-51 (existing), Noida Sector-61, Noida Sector-70, Noida Sector-122, Noida Sector-123, Greater Noida Sector-4, Eco Tech-12, Greater Noida Sector-2, Greater Noida Sector-3, Greater Noida Sector-10, Greater Noida Sector-12 and Greater Noida Knowledge Park-V.
What will be the benefit?
The first benefit of this is that it will provide better connectivity. This will make it easier for passengers traveling from Noida to different sectors of Greater Noida to reach their office or home. Due to the metro extension, heavy traffic in this area will also be reduced. After the completion of this project, Sector 61 will work as a new interchange hub, which will connect the Aqua Line to the Blue Line of Delhi Metro, which will further improve connectivity in Delhi.
