Indian Railway Superfast train: The Indian Railways has the fourth largest rail network in the world. The railways, which reach every corner of the country, are constantly expanding their facilities and speed. Luxury trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi are now a thing of the past. In the country, there is talk of Vande Bharat Express, Bullet Train. To take people to their destination as quickly as possible, the railways is working on a plan to run high-speed trains. The speed of high-speed trains will be 280 km per hour. That is, if this train is run between Delhi and Patna, it will take only 4 hours to cover a distance of 1000 km. Currently, Rajdhani Express takes 12 to 13 hours to cover this distance.
Delhi to Patna at the speed of wind
According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Indian Railways is designing trains capable of running at a speed of 280 kmph. In collaboration with BEML, the design of railway high-speed train set or bullet train is being made at Integral Coach Factory (Chennai). If this trial is successful, then you will be able to reach Patna from Delhi in 240 minutes i.e. just 4 hours. Let us tell you that the distance from Delhi to Patna, the capital of Bihar, is 1000 km. This train running at a speed of 280 km per hour will cover this distance in just 4 hours.
After Vande Bharat trains, now there is talk of bullet train
These trains are being manufactured under the Make in India initiative. After the success of Vande Bharat trains, the railways have now started designing and manufacturing high-speed train sets. Just like the semi-high speed train Vande Bharat became popular as soon as it was launched, this high-speed train of the railways can also become popular. For this, the railways is increasing its focus on infrastructure.
How much will it cost
According to the information given by the Railway Minister, the cost of construction of the coach of this high speed train will be around Rs 28 crore. You can guess the cost by the fact that this train will be completely different from ordinary trains. This train is being built on the design of aerodynamic, air-tight car body with modern technology.
The first bullet train will run between Ahmedabad and Mumbai
The work of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) project being prepared in collaboration with Japan is progressing rapidly. So far, 336 km of pier foundation, 331 km of pier construction, 260 km of girder casting and 225 km of girder launching have been completed. Along with this, the work of making a tunnel under the sea has also started.
