New Toll Tax System: Kherki Daula toll plaza will end, now tax will be deducted through new system

Union Minister Rao Indrajit Singh met Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday and discussed various projects in Gurugram and Rewari districts. Rao Indrajit also raised the issue of Kherki Daula toll in front of Gadkari. Nitin Gadkari said that Kherki Daula toll will end after the satellite system is started. This work will take two more months.

Gadkari said that this will register the entry of the driver from where he enters the highway. At the time of exit, automatic toll will be deducted according to the kilometer. A new system of toll collection will be implemented on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. Haryana Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary V Umashankar, Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav were specially present in the meeting.

Rao Indrajit reiterated the demand for construction of an elevated road from Hero Honda Chowk to Umang Bhardwaj Chowk before Gadkari. V Umashankar raised the issue of this national highway in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner. National Highway officials said that the metro is also passing through this route, due to which technical difficulties are coming. Rao also talked about the slow construction of the flyover at Bilaspur Chowk. He said that people are facing a lot of trouble here.

Gadkari instructed NHAI officials to expedite the work. Rao Indrajit also requested Gadkari to start the construction of underpasses at Rathivas Mor, Salhavas Mor, Pachgaon Chowk soon. On this, Gadkari summoned the progress report of both the projects from NHAI officials. Officials said that the tender process for the underpass will be started by the end of this month. The meeting also discussed the Gurgaon-Pataudi-Rewari highway.

Discussion on connecting Nelson Mandela Marg to Faridabad Road

In order to reduce the pressure of traffic jam on the Gurugram Delhi border of Delhi Jaipur National Highway, a new road to connect Vasant Kunj’s Nelson Mandela Marg to Faridabad Road was also discussed in the meeting. National Highway Authority officials have given in-principle approval to build this road. Rao Indrajit told the officials to develop the technology for the construction of this road while keeping the environment safe. Secretary of the Ministry of Road and Transport and Chairman of NHAI along with other officials were present in the meeting.
