The second wave of corona virus epidemic in the country is now slowly subsiding. In view of the decreasing cases of infection, many announcements are being made by the Indian Railways for the last few days.
In order to make the journey of passengers more convenient on behalf of Indian Railways, more train services will start in the coming few days. Railways says that with the start of these train services, especially the passengers going to and from Uttar Pradesh will be benefited. Railways has also made it clear that passengers will have to follow the Kovid protocol.
The new trains that are about to start are as follows-
Between Itarsi-Prayagraj from June 11 to June
13, Ahmedabad-Samastipur
from June 14, Bandra to Ghazipur from
June 14, Delhi-Agra Cantt
from June 15, Mumbai-Manduadih
from June 16, Kasganj-Anwarganj
from June 16, Hazrat Nizamuddin-Chennai
from June 16, Rajkot -Samastipur
Mumbai-Bhagalpur from June 18
Passenger trains resume
The second wave of corona virus epidemic in the country is now slowly subsiding. In view of the decreasing cases of infection, many announcements are being made by the Indian Railways for the last few days. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal also gave a tweet about the trains which are being restarted. Apart from this, North Western Railway had also given information about these trains.
Railways is about to start operating many trains on different routes. Piyush Goyal had told in his tweet that many train services are being started by Indian Railways for the convenience of the passengers. He had told that these trains connecting different states will pass through many cities of Uttar Pradesh, and will provide convenient and safe travel to the passengers. The number of trains starting again is 6.
The information given about the resumption of trains are as follows-
Barauni-Lucknow
from June 10, Muzaffarpur-Ahmedabad
from June 10, Danapur-Anand Vihar
from June 11, Lucknow-Jabalpur
from June 13, Saharsa-Anand Vihar
from June 14, Prayagraj-Udhampur
Northern Railway has resumed those trains operating in different zones of its jurisdiction which were stopped in view of the Kovid-19 epidemic. These trains also include 62 passenger special trains. These trains will start from June 10 to 18 and will run on the track till further orders. Northern Railway has given information about this by issuing tweets and statements and has also released a detailed list of trains.
24 trains resumed
Railways has decided to restart 24 already postponed trains from June 5 and 6. East Central Railway said that the services of passenger special trains operating under its jurisdiction are being restored. There will be no change in the routes, timings, stoppages and fares of these trains. Railways has also said that the passengers traveling by these trains will have to strictly follow the guidelines issued regarding Kovid-19.
