New Trains: Varanasi will get the gift of two more trains including Vande Bharat, PM Modi will flag off on this day

PM Modi is going to gift two trains to the people of his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi. One of which is Vande Bharat train. However, a Vande Bharat Express is already running between New Delhi and Varanasi.

Indian Railways, Two Trains For Varanasi: Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh is going to get two new trains. The Prime Minister will flag off the new train from Varanasi Railway Station on 17 December 2023, which will run till New Delhi Railway Station. Apart from this, PM Modi will also flag off the Tamil Sangamam train between Varanasi and Kanyakumari.

That means, PM Modi is going to gift two trains to the people of his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi. One of which is Vande Bharat train. However, a Vande Bharat Express is already running between New Delhi and Varanasi.

Vande Bharat train already running

Currently, the Vande Bharat train (22436) running between New Delhi and Varanasi leaves New Delhi at 6 am and reaches Varanasi by 2 pm via Kanpur and Prayagraj. Whereas, in return, this train leaves Varanasi at 3 pm and reaches New Delhi at 11 pm via Prayagraj and Kanpur.

Train equipped with modern facilities

Vande Bharat train is equipped with modern facilities. These have many facilities including GPS based information system, CCTV cameras, vacuum based bio toilet, automatic sliding door. Equipped with new features, the next generation Vande Bharat 2.0 train has the facility of Kavach (Train Collision Avoidance System). Under this, adding four emergency windows in every coach will provide more security.
