Vande Bharat Express: Jharkhand is going to get another Vande Bharat gift soon. Preparations have started to run Vande Bharat Express from Tatanagar to Banaras in July. For this, high tension facility has been started by upgrading the washing line number three of Tatanagar station. The coaches of Vande Bharat trains will be repaired and washed here. At the same time, the work of laying GI pipes has also started.
However, railway officials of Tatanagar have denied any information about this. Experts say that from September 2024, the Railway Board has started work on the plan to run a sleeper model Vande Bharat train from Tatanagar to Banaras (600 km). In August 2024, high tension wire was run for the first time in washing line number one of Tatanagar for the Vande Bharat train. Vande Bharat trains currently run from Tatanagar to Patna in Bihar and Berhampur in Odisha, while Vande Bharat trains from Ranchi from September 2023 and from Rourkela to Howrah from September 2024 run up and down six days a week via Tatanagar. Passengers from Bihar-Uttar Pradesh will be comfortable, because at present there is no daily train facility from Tatanagar to Banaras.

Railways will build a new sick line in the loco colony
For the repair of Vande Bharat trains, the Railways will build a sick line in the loco colony. It is said that a survey was conducted to build a sick line in June 2024 itself. A proposal to build a new sick line from Chakradharpur division to Tatanagar has been sent to the South East Zone. Work will start as soon as approval is received, because due to the washing, repair and inspection of Vande Bharat trains, there is a problem in cleaning other trains. According to sources, the Railways wanted to build a maintenance center in Kudada, but the plan was postponed due to it being far from the station. Railways is preparing to build such a sick line, where two Vande Bharat trains can be repaired simultaneously.
