Vande Bharat: A railway official said that Vande Bharat routes are selected based on several rounds of discussions and case studies by the state government, Indian Railways and an independent consultant.
Vande Bharat: Vande Bharat has completely transformed Indian Railways. In just a few years, many Vande Bharat trains have been launched, saving a lot of time for passengers. Most of the states have already received their Vande Bharat trains. Meanwhile, there is a good news that this year 60 new Vande Bharat trains are going to be started in the country. Indian Railways is continuously working in this regard. A total of 34 Vande Bharat trains have been launched in the year 2023.
According to the Money Control report, coaches are being prepared for Vande Bharat trains at a rapid pace. This year, Indian Railways is going to get 70 Vande Bharat trains, out of which 60 will be received before November 15. These trains will be launched on new routes. After the launch of 60 new Vande Bharat trains in a year, lakhs of railway passengers are expected to get tremendous benefits.
A railway official said that Vande Bharat routes are selected based on several rounds of discussions and case studies by the state government, Indian Railways and an independent consultant. He further said that after several rounds of discussions, the approval of the Railway Board is obtained and then the new routes of Vande Bharat trains are decided. Till now, Railways has found 35 routes on which Vande Bharat trains can be started. Apart from this, research and studies are going on continuously in this matter.
An official has informed that the governments of Karnataka, UP, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Kerala have approached the Railways for Vande Bharat trains on the new route and it is also being considered. The official said that till now requests have been received from almost all the states and union territories to start Vande Bharat. However, Indian Railways plans to launch Vande Bharat trains on 18 new routes by June 2024 and then four new routes every fortnight from July.
Vande Bharat will be launched on these routes
It has been told in the report that Vande Bharat train will be launched on many new routes. 34 Vande Bharat trains will be launched in the northern states, while 25 will be launched in South India. An official said that the routes on which Vande Bharat will be launched this year include Mumbai to Shegaon, Pune to Shegaon, Belagavi to Pune, Raipur to Varanasi and Kolkata to Rourkela. Apart from this, Gujarat is also expected to get two Vande Bharat trains. One of these routes will be between Vadodara and Pune.
