There is a plan to run new long distance trains this year on busiest routes like Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru from Bihar. A proposal in this regard has been sent to the Railway Board.
New Vande Bharat: Railways is going to gift 6 new trains to the people of Bihar this year. The list of new trains includes a shiny sleeper Vande Bharat Express, fast passenger and 4 superfast trains. These trains will be run on the busiest routes, where there is often a rush for tickets. According to railway sources, there are plans to run new trains on the route from Patna to Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Apart from this, a fast passenger train will also be run between Patna and Gaya. This will provide convenience to daily commuters.
According to the information, the new trains will be run from Patna’s Rajendra Nagar Terminal and Danapur Station. The new trains will be started in the coming months. Sleeper Vande Bharat train between Patna and New Delhi is likely to start this year. Railway sources said that the Zonal Headquarters has sent a proposal to the Railway Board to run new long distance trains on another route including Pune, Bengaluru, Secunderabad and New Delhi.
There will be relief from the hassle of waiting
Generally there is a shortage of confirmed tickets on these routes. During the festive season, the situation becomes even worse on these routes. Even on normal days, efforts are made to clear the crowd by running special trains, but passengers are unhappy with the chaos in special trains. Sources said that two new trains can be run from Bihar to South India.
Capacity expansion through Amrit Bharat Station Yojana:
Work is going on to expand the capacity of stations under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana in East Central Railway jurisdiction. In such a situation, brainstorming is going on to increase the number of Namo Bharat and fast passenger trains in the coming days.
Speed of trains will increase
Senior officials are inspecting every week to increase the speed of trains on Patna-Gaya and Patna-DDU routes. Tracks are being repaired on both these routes. Vande Bharat Express is also being run at limited speed on these routes. There is a possibility of improvement in average speed in the coming 3-4 months.
