According to the Railway Ministry, the semi-bullet train i.e. Vande Bharat Express is capable of running at a speed of 160 km. Keeping this in mind, the work of increasing the track capacity has started in Jhansi division of North Central Railway.
Vande Bharat Express: Currently, the fastest train in the country runs at a speed of 160 km per hour at one place, that is between Delhi and Agra. At other places, it runs at a speed of 130 km or even less. Even the Vande Bharat Express, which is called a semi-bullet train, cannot run faster than this. Because the capacity of the track is 130 km per hour. But now the train will be able to run at a speed of 160 km at two places. For this, work has been started on the track.

Thick web switch is necessary on the track to increase the speed
To increase the speed of trains, it is necessary to install thick web switch on the track. Along with increasing the speed of trains in Jhansi division, emphasis is also being laid on increasing safety. For this, the work of installing Track Thick Web Switch Point Machine (TWS) is being done rapidly. With their installation, the speed of trains will increase as well as safety.
Traditional switches will be replaced
Turnouts are installed in the tracks to change the direction of trains, currently traditional switches are used in them. Now the work of installing thick web switches is going on rapidly. Due to which the speed of trains will increase and they will also be more safe.
Semi bullet train will run in these cities
According to the Railway Ministry, there are preparations to run semi bullet trains at two places. Both are in Jhansi division. Work is going on to install thick web switches on Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi and Kanpur section and Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi and Dholpur section. In this way, after Delhi to Agra, these two sections will be where the fastest train will be able to run.
This will also be beneficial
According to the Railways, the main purpose of installing thick web switches is to increase the speed of trains to 160 km per hour. Apart from this, the speed of trains in the loop line will also increase from 30 km per hour to 50 km per hour. Along with this, the use of this new technology also reduces vibrations while trains are running, there will be less jolts.
