Northeast New Vande Bharat: Indian Railways is trying to start operation of Vande Bharat Train made of 100 percent indigenous technology in every state of the country. Recently, PM Modi has gifted Vande Bharat to Odisha and Uttarakhand. After this, now another Northeast states (Vande Bharat Train in Northeast) are also going to get the gift of this semi high speed train Vande Bharat.
According to a report published in India Today, PM Modi can flag off the country’s 18th and North East’s first Vande Bharat (North East Vande Bharat Train) on 29 May 2023. This train will run from New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal to Guwahati in Assam (Guwahati new jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Train). Know about the route of New Jalpaiguri Guwahati Vande Bharat train-
Significantly, the first Vande Bharat train of North East will run from New Jalpaiguri in Bengal to Guwahati in Assam. This train will cover a total distance of 410 kilometers between the two stations. During this, the train will go to Guwahati via a total of 6 stations New Jalpaiguri, New Alipurduar, Kokrajhar, New Bongaigaon and Kamakhya station.
Know about the timing of the train-
From New Jalpaiguri Junction the train will run at 6.10 in the morning. After this it will reach Guwahati by afternoon. After this, this train will reach New Jalpaiguri from Guwahati at 4.30 pm in the evening at around 10.20 pm. The train will run 6 days a week like the rest of the Vande Bharat trains.
It has total 8 coaches. It is worth noting that the journey between the two cities by this train will now be completed in less time. Earlier this route used to take a total of 8 hours, which will now reduce to 6 hours. As of now, no official information has been received regarding the train fare.
Total 3 types of Vande Bharat will run in the country
On 25 May 2023, PM Modi gifted the Vande Bharat train to Uttarakhand for the first time and sent the train to Dehradun from Delhi’s Anand Vihar station through video conferencing. On this occasion, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had made an important announcement regarding Vande Bharat.
The Railway Minister informed that the Railways will operate three types of Vande Bharat trains. These are Vande Metro, Vande Bharat Chair Car and Vande Sleeper. The plan for these three types of trains will be prepared by February-March. Vande Metro for distance less than 100 km, Vande Chair Car for distance 100 to 550 km and Vande Sleeper for distance more than 550 km will run in the country.
