Vande Bharat Train- Indian Railways is going to run the new Vande Bharat train between Bhagalpur and Howrah to increase convenience and connectivity for the passengers. The new Vande Bharat train will cover a distance of approximately 439.57 kilometres, stopping at important stations including Sahibganj, Barharwa, Azimganj, Katwa and Naudibadham. However, the official announcement will be made after the elections are over.
Schedule and days
This new Vande Bharat train will run six days a week except Wednesday from Bhagalpur and Tuesday from Howrah. It will leave Bhagalpur at 6:15 am and reach Howrah at 2:25 pm. The return journey will start from Howrah at 1:30 pm, reaching Bhagalpur by 9:55 pm. Vande Bharat train has eight coaches which are specially designed as chaircar coaches. These coaches provide a comfortable traveling experience without sleepers.
7 hours 30 minutes journey
With an estimated travel time of seven hours and thirty minutes, the Bhagalpur-Howrah Vande Bharat train will become the fastest mode of travel between these two cities. The official launch date of Bhagalpur-Howrah Vande Bharat Service will be announced after the Lok Sabha elections and formation of the new government.
Three new Vande Bharat Metro trains
Apart from the Bhagalpur-Howrah service, Indian Railways is introducing three new Vande Bharat Metro trains for better connectivity. These services will operate from Jamalpur to Malda, from Bhagalpur to Howrah and from Bhagalpur to Bhagalpur via Deoghar. The maximum speed of these trains will be 110-130 kilometers per hour.
