New Visa Rules: This country changed visa rules for passport holders, know what will be the effect on Indians

New Zealand has changed the visa rules. It is believed that the rules have been changed to make the immigration process easier. In the new rules, two options have also been given for seasonal workers. Visa rules have also been eased for students who want to pursue higher education in New Zealand.

Visa Rules Change: New Zealand has made several important updates in its visa rules by changing them. The new rules will directly benefit those who want to go there for jobs. The main objective of the change in rules is to make the immigration process easier for employees and employers (job givers) with the adjustment of work experience limits, salary adjustment and visa time limit.

Know what changes have been made

Actually, the New Zealand government has changed the work experience rules for immigrants. It has now been reduced from three years to two years. It is believed that with this move of New Zealand, capable workers will be able to get employment there easily. The new rules are also expected to help Indian immigrants looking for job opportunities in New Zealand.

New Zealand has also given two new options for seasonal workers to stay in the country. According to the rules, the option of a three-year multi-entry visa for experienced seasonal workers and a seven-month single-entry visa for low-skilled workers has been given. It is said that these rules have been made keeping in mind the demand for seasonal workers.

Changes in AEWV and SPWV rules

At the same time, the New Zealand government has removed the average salary criteria for Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) and Specific Purpose Work Visa (SPWV). According to the changes in the new rules, employers can post job opportunities and offer salaries in line with the market rate for that work. Now they will not need to meet the previously set salary criteria.

Let us tell you that if someone is curious to bring their children to New Zealand, then for that AEWV holders will now have to earn at least NZ$55,844 per year. The main purpose of this is that migrant families can easily keep themselves financially strong in New Zealand. This minimum limit was not changed from the year 2019.

Changes for skill level 4 or 5 too

Let us tell you that New Zealand has extended the two-year visa period to three years for jobs falling under skill level 4 or 5 in the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification Occupations. As per the current rules, only two-year visas are being given under this facility, however, employees who meet the requirements in these jobs can ask for a one-year extension.

Special changes for students

The changes in the visa rules are going to directly benefit those students who wish to pursue higher education in New Zealand. New Zealand has also revised the Post Study Work Visa (PSWV). Students will directly benefit from this. Under this, students will be allowed to live and work in the country for three years based on their qualifications. The new New Zealand visa rules will ensure that students who complete a master’s degree after a postgraduate diploma do not lose eligibility for a post study work visa.
