NHAI oblivious to millions of drivers passing through Fastag lane on Delhi-Gurugram Expressway

Fastag News:  It was said that after the fastag system is implemented, traffic pressure at Kherikadola toll plaza will reduce but it is not showing. Like the cash lane, the traffic pressure remains at all times in all fastag lanes. The main reason behind this is the failure of most cameras installed in Fastag lanes to be read properly.

An average of 70 to 80 thousand vehicles depart daily from the Kherikadola toll plaza of Delhi-Gurugram Expressway. Of these, more than 80 percent of the vehicles have Fastag. The toll plaza has 25 lanes. There are two cash lanes on either side. The pressure of vehicles in the cash lane is natural, but the traffic pressure in the fast lane makes the people unstable. Most cameras do not read correctly.

Many times drivers have to move vehicles back and forth. Because of this, traffic pressure is created behind. Especially during peak hours, traffic pressure is high from 8 am to 11 am and from 5 pm to 8 pm. Many complaints have been made about this, but not resolved. Due to this, the demand for removal of Kherikadola toll plaza has once again intensified. People say that even after taking Fastag, if you want to get stuck in jam then what is the meaning of Fastag? Rajesh Kumar and Jaishankar Verma, residents of Palam Vihar, working in a private company based in Manesar, say that the Fastag system should be such that it should read in the lane as soon as the vehicle arrives. Do not stop for one minute.

Pressure is high on the Kherikadola toll plaza. If a vehicle stops in a lane even for two to three minutes, a long line is put behind it. It also has an impact on other lanes. In such a situation, removal of toll plaza is the solution to the problem. Explain that in view of the demand of the people, Rakesh Daulatabad, MLA of Badshahpur and chairman of Haryana Agro Udyog Nigam has given an ultimatum of 31 March regarding the removal of toll plaza, but in this direction any National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) Effort is not visible at the level.
