NMMS 2023: Chhattisgarh School Education and Literacy Department has started the application process for National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMSS) for class 8 students. Candidates who have secured minimum 55% marks in class 7 are eligible to register for NMMS exam 2023 at scert.cg.gov.in. The exam will be conducted on December 10, 2023.
This scholarship is awarded to meritorious students from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) studying in class 8 in the state. Chhattisgarh NMMS exam will be conducted in total 146 exam centers across the state. State Education Department said, there will be no application fee for this. The last date for submission of Chhattisgarh NMMS application 2023 is 8 September.
NMMS Exam 2023: Eligibility Criteria
- To avail the scholarship, the student must be studying in a government, government-aided school.
- Must have secured 55% marks in class 7th. SC, ST students will be given a relaxation of five percent.
- The annual income of the student’s father or guardian should not exceed Rs 3.5 lakh.
A quota of 2,246 has been allotted for Chhattisgarh under the NMMS scholarship scheme. Students who will be selected will get Rs 1,000 per month from class 9 to 12. The students who will be selected will get the benefit of any one scholarship under the scholarship scheme provided by the government. Students studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, non-government school, residential school are not eligible to apply.

The income certificate issued by the government should not be older than March 31, 2022.

NMMS Exam pattern 2023
There will be two papers in the exam, paper 1 will be conducted from 10 am to 11.30 am and paper 2 will be conducted from 1 pm to 2.30 pm.
