Noida Authority: Exemption from Amnesty Scheme will be given on regularization of outstanding tax-interest and connection

New Delhi: If you also live in Noida and you owe the Noida Authority water tax … or you are the debtor of any kind of interest … or the connection in your house is legal. If not in ways, then the Amnesty scheme of the Authority is special for you. In this scheme, huge discounts are being given for depositing arrears. Along with this, an opportunity is being given to legalize the connection by bypassing the rules, but this exemption will remain only till March.




Let me tell you that in the recent board meeting of Noida Authority, many big decisions were taken. In this meeting, many important decisions have been taken like giving water tax, outstanding interest and opportunity to legalize illegal connections. According to the authority, this decision has been named Amnesty Scheme. Under this, the building owner who had time to deposit water tax till 31 December but has not been deposited, can now deposit it from 31 January to 31 March.

There will be such exemption in depositing tax and interest

According to Noida Authority officials, if a building owner submits his outstanding water tax by 31 January, then he will be given a rebate of 40 percent on the total interest payable. Similarly, if you deposit till 28 February, then 30 percent will be given and 20 percent discount will be given for depositing by 31 March.




The arrears of the

allotted building on rent will also be exempted . For the defaulters of the allotted building on rent, the authority has also brought a lump sum settlement scheme. This scheme will remain in force from January 20 to March 31. Under this scheme, the interest rate applicable from July 1, 2020 will be 11.50 percent and on the arrears before July 1, 2020, interest will be applicable at the rate of 14 percent.
