With the landing of the plane at the airport, a dream seen 23 years ago will be fulfilled. An official of Noida International Airport Limited (NAIL) said that the commercial aircraft of Airport Authority of India (AAI) will reach Noida Airport from Delhi in 10 minutes. Here the aircraft will roar in the sky above the airport for about one and a half hours and will land on the runway only after checking all the security equipment. This is going to happen for the first time when the aircraft will land on the runway. Earlier, whatever tests were done on the aircraft, they were not landed on the runway.
The first runway of 3900 meters long and 60 meters wide at the airport is completely ready. The work of marking and lighting on the runway has been completed. Apart from this, CAT-1 and CAT-3 equipment have been installed, which give information about the height and visibility of the aircraft in fog. Instrument Landing System (ILS) has been installed at the airport, which has been tested from 10 to 14 October. Now the trial will be done on Monday. The trial process is likely to be continuous for several days or even on alternate days. Before the trial, the DGCA team has reached the airport and inspected it.
Salute given before trial
Often a water cannon salute is given after the landing of the aircraft on the runway of any airport. This salute is given to welcome the aircraft. This type of video has also surfaced from the airport, in which water cannon is being used on the runway.
The dream of building an airport was seen in 2001
The dream of building an airport was first seen in the year 2001. After this, there were many such periods when the construction of an airport here seemed difficult. During the SP regime, it was shifted from Gautam Buddha Nagar to Agra. On 25 November 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for its construction in Jewar. It is the most important among the major projects.
Flight possible by the end of April
Flight of aircraft is proposed at the airport by the end of April. It is claimed to start 30 flight services from the airport from the first day. These include 25 domestic, three international and two cargo flights. International flights can start for Singapore, Dubai and Zurich.
