Noida News: For three months, a family will get 35 kg of wheat and rice for free, know what is the scheme

Under the scheme, three months’ sugar will also be given on one ration card according to one kg. This scheme is different from the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM GKAY).




Noida. The eligible family will be given 35 kg ration absolutely free of cost for three months. There will be wheat and rice in this ration. Not only this, if there is no authentication of Aadhar card, free ration will also be available from OTP coming on mobile.

Gautam Budh Nagar DM Suhas LY has announced that this ration will be available under the National Food Security Scheme. Under this scheme, three months’ sugar will also be given on one card on the basis of one kg. This scheme is different from the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM GKAY).

According to DM Suhas LY and District Supply Officer Chaman Sharma, in view of the corona and lockdown, in addition to the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, free ration will be distributed till June, July and August under the National Food Security Scheme. Under this scheme, only Antyodaya and eligible household beneficiaries will be given its benefit.

20 kg wheat and 15 kg rice will be given in 35 kg ration. 35 kg ration will be given to Antyodaya card holders. At the same time, 3 kg wheat and 2 kg rice will be given in 5 kg ration on one unit on eligible household ration cards.

Ration will be available from 6 am to 9 pm

District Supply Officer Chaman Sharma says that ration will be distributed from June 20 to June 30. Ration will be distributed from 6 am to 9 pm. The cardholder whose Aadhaar card authentication has not been done, he will also get ration from the OTP number coming on the mobile. Along with this, three kg of sugar will also be given to Antyodaya category card holders from April to June according to one kg of sugar on one card. The price of this sugar will be Rs 18 per kg. The cardholder will get sugar from the same shop with which his card is related.

Checking of ration shops done on Tuesday,

distribution of free ration is being done from June 20 to June 30. District Supply Officer Chaman Sharma inspected the shops to see whether all eligible people were getting full ration. During the inspection, the shops of fair rate vendors M/s Usha Jha and Mohit Kumar of Kashiram Colony Sector 45 Sadarpur were inspected. Information regarding distribution was also taken from the card holders present on the spot. The cardholders were told that they are getting 3 kg of sugar on each ration card along with food grains.
