New Traffic Rules: During the campaign conducted as per the orders of Uttar Pradesh Traffic Directorate, Gautam Buddha Nagar Police issued e-challan of 2,51,398 vehicles in Noida and Greater Noida throughout November and collected a fine of Rs 59 crore 29 lakh 11 thousand.
New Delhi: Traffic Rule Violations: If you do not follow or ignore traffic rules while driving, then be careful. You should not take these rules lightly, because doing so can prove costly. Actually, new traffic rule has been implemented in Noida. If you do not follow these rules, not only your driving license will be canceled but your vehicle registration will also be cancelled. Due to which you may have to suffer heavy loss.
In fact, Noida Traffic Police said that under the new rules, the licenses of drivers of vehicles who are challaned more than three times will be cancelled.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic Anil Kumar Yadav said that the licenses of drivers who are issued vehicle challans more than three times will be suspended. He said that in accordance with the instructions given by the ‘Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety’ and as per the decision taken in the meeting of Uttar Pradesh Road Safety Council, if more than three consecutive challans are issued, action will be taken to cancel the license of the person concerned.
If drivers repeat offenses like ‘red light jumping’, ‘over speeding’, ‘overloading’, carrying passengers in goods vehicles, using mobile phone while driving or drunk driving, their vehicle registration (Vehicle Registration) will be suspended or cancelled.
Noida- E-challan of 2,51,398 vehicles in Greater Noida in November
During the campaign conducted as per the orders of Uttar Pradesh Traffic Directorate, Gautam Buddha Nagar Police issued e-challan of 2,51,398 vehicles in Noida and Greater Noida throughout November and collected a fine of Rs 59 crore 29 lakh 11 thousand. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar Yadav said that this year e-challans of a total of 16,97,643 vehicles have been issued in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. He said that 15 such places have been identified in the district, where accidents occur more often. Of these, improvements have been made at four places and work is going on at 11.
Nearly 1,000 road accidents recorded so far this year
According to official data, around 1,000 road accidents have been recorded so far this year, in which around 400 people have lost their lives while many have been injured in Noida and Greater Noida. Data shows that till September 2023, more than 14 lakh challans have been issued by the traffic police for violating traffic rules, which is more than double that of 2022. Of these challans, 69,906 were for over-speed driving, 66,867 for jumping red light and 10,516 for talking on mobile phone while driving.
