An official said that a thousand slots are given per day for the driving license test. Now it has been halved. At present the slots are reserved for those applicants who had booked during the lockdown.
The order was issued by the Transport Department on June 6. According to which the applicants for the license can appear for the test on any automated testing driving track. Even if applied in Motor Licensing Office. It has been said in the order that permission will be given to take license for any other category. An official said that on the first day there were less applications on the test track, but the number is sure to increase. Tests were not being conducted due to the lockdown.
Most of the 13 RTOs in the capital have automated driving test tracks.
