New Delhi, RC Renewal Price may Hike: Air pollution in the country has once again reached its poor level. Government is constantly trying to deal with this. Obviously, the result of the effort will also be seen. Under these efforts, the government is coming up with several schemes on the old vehicle. Recently in the budget, announcements including scrap policy were made regarding old vehicles. We told you a few days ago that a scrap policy will be announced within 15 days. Right after years of waiting but it will be implemented now.

How long will it be applicable: In the new reports, it has been claimed that the government is considering increasing the cost of renewing the registration certificate for vehicles older than 15 years. Not only are officers considering older private vehicles, but fitness certification fees will also be increased for older commercial vehicles. Interestingly, it will take a few years to be implemented like the new scrap policy.

But if the recent report is to be believed, the increase in fees for renewal of registration of older vehicles will be a part of the vehicle scraping policy that was announced as part of the Union Budget 2021. According to a media report, an official stated that “there will be an increase in the re-registration of vehicles. The fares will vary for different categories of vehicles and medium to heavy commercial vehicles will face the most growth.

He added that “the final rate slabs for the various categories are still to be discussed.” The report claimed that fees for a 15-year-old commercial vehicle can be increased by Rs 200 for a cab to Rs 7,500, while for a truck it will be around Rs 12,500. (The fees given here are approximate.)
