There is good news for the applicants who have made learning license. Applicants will be able to get the learning license made sitting at home from next week. All 70 services of the Transport Department will be completely online. However, some services had already started. But now all services will come under this purview.
Test process will be completed within ten minutes
The applicant will be able to take the online test for learning license at any time sitting at home. After which he will get the learning license sitting at home. No need to go to Regional Transport Office. Software has been prepared for this. The test related process will be completed within ten minutes. Fee has to be paid online only. After passing the test, you will be able to get the print of the learning license. However, for a permanent driving license, you will have to go to the authority and give a test.
Non-essential counters will be closed
This step has been taken to reduce the congestion in the authority. Along with this, all non-essential counters will also be closed. Delhi will be the first state in the country where the work related to the Transport Department will be completely online. According to an estimate, more than five lakh learning licenses are made every year in Delhi. In which the number of permanent driving license is said to be 2.5 lakh.
Minister took stock of Loni Authority
Efforts are on to make transport related services faceless in Delhi. In this episode, Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot along with the officials of the Transport Department took stock of the department’s authority located on Loni Road. The minister himself has given this information by tweeting.
While tweeting, he wrote that he has visited to take stock of the preparedness of faceless transport services. Soon this service will be dedicated to the public. The Delhi government under the leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is marching ahead to provide smart services to the public.
