Pension regulator PFRDA (Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority of India) is continuously trying to make NPS more investor friendly. Now it has become easier for investors to deposit their contribution in the account. Actually, PFRDA has started the facility of UPI QR Code for NPS contribution.

Payment can be made through UPI QR Code

Pension fund regulator PFRDA on Wednesday allowed National Pension System (NPS) subscribers to deposit their contributions directly through Unified Payment Interface (UPI) QR code. The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) said in a statement that the move is aimed at simplifying the contribution process to make it easier and better for NPS subscribers.

Easy to invest in the scheme

According to the statement, NPS has long been a reliable savings instrument for those who want to secure their financial future. It said that this initiative of PFRDA empowers NPS subscribers to take control of their retirement savings and benefit from a systematic investment plan. Under this new system, customers will use UPI QR code to transfer their contributions.

What are other ways to put money in NPS?

There are many more methods available to deposit money in the NPS Investor Scheme. You can make your contribution online by visiting the eNPS site of NPS. Apart from this, you can also make payment through NPS mobile app. While making contribution, remember that you can make a maximum of Rs 2,000 through debit card. A minimum deposit of Rs 500 can be made for Tier-1 account and Rs 250 for Tier-2 account.
