Sikkim Old Pension Scheme: 30 thousand people in Sikkim will benefit from the re-implementation of the old pension scheme. Last year, a committee was formed to study the scheme. Now Sikkim CM gave information regarding its re-implementation.
New Delhi. Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang made a big announcement saying that the old pension scheme will be re-implemented in the state. Last year, a committee was formed, whose job was to study the pension scheme. After everything was found correct in the investigation report, the final decision on its reinstatement has been taken. Once the scheme is implemented again, about 30 thousand people in the state will get direct benefits from it.
CM Tamang, while addressing the people during the foundation stone laying ceremony of the World Renewal Spiritual Trust in Debrung, Namchi, said that work is underway on the process of re-implementing the old pension scheme. During this, he announced medical assistance up to Rs 5 lakh for the treatment of C and D grade employees in Sikkim. It was also told that one family one job will soon be regularized in the state.
CM Prem Singh Tamang also announced Shravan Kumar Award. He said that this prestigious award will be given to those sons and daughters of every Gram Panchayat and Nagar Panchayat in Sikkim who demonstrate selfless dedication towards their parents. This award will be given every year on the occasion of Independence Day. Besides, the CM also informed the people about the improvement of Dibrang Road and improvement in the drainage system in the state.
