OPS: Big announcement for employees! Government gave option to choose old pension scheme, know what will be the rules

Uttarakhand OPS Option: The cabinet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took this decision, which will benefit about 7,000 employees of the state government. Let us tell you that NPS was made mandatory for all the employees recruited in government service in the state after October 1, 2005.

Uttarakhand OPS Option: Government employees of almost every state are raising their voice regarding the return to the old pension scheme (OPS). The old pension scheme is applicable in many Congress ruled states. Now employees are making this demand at other places also. Meanwhile, big news is coming from Uttarakhand.

The state cabinet has provided an option to the old pension scheme to the employees who are currently under the New Pension Scheme (NPS). This option has been given to those employees who were recruited on the basis of press releases issued before October 1, 2005, but were not able to join on time due to technical reasons.

The cabinet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took this
decision yesterday, which will benefit about 7,000 employees of the state government. Let us tell you that NPS was made mandatory for all the employees recruited in government service in the state after October 1, 2005.

However, there are approximately 7,000 employees who were recruited after the above date but the recruitment advertisement/requisition was issued before 1 October 2005. These employees were demanding OPS benefits for themselves and had also taken the issue to court.
