Lucknow

is a relief news for the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, which is struggling with the Corona crisis. The train has left from Bokaro in Jharkhand with full tankers of oxygen. The train, which had left Lucknow a day earlier, is now returning with an oxygen tank filled with low floor racks. This special train is expected to reach here by tomorrow.

The second Oxygen Special train left from Bokaro to Lucknow at 1.50 pm. The second consignment of Oxigen Special train will reach Lucknow by Saturday morning, with mutual support of Indian Railways and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) between Oxigen’s shortage in Lucknow.

The Low Floor Rack

Railway, commissioned from Punjab and Babina, has sourced BBCM and NBWT racks from the Army’s Punjab-based Khandari Kala, Bathinda and UP’s Babina Base for Oxygen Tanker. The first rack reached Lucknow on Wednesday. In which the work of loading the empty oxygen tankers from the nearby side on the TPT siding was done by the state government. During this, many officials including Additional Chief Secretary Avnish Awasthi, DRM Sanjay Tripathi and DCM Ashish Singh were present.

It takes 36 hours by

road. If an oxygen tanker is called by road, it takes 36 to 40 hours to reach Bokaro. This second from the train will be decided in just 16 hours. It takes extra care to carry an empty tanker. Due to the tanker being lighter, the air pressure is higher.
