Actually, relation certificate is not a special certificate. No law has been implemented for this in India. Nor is there any process to make it. Actually, according to Oyo’s new policy, unmarried couples will not be given rooms in Oyo. Married couples can check-in in Oyo hotel by giving proof of their marriage.
Merit couples can show their marriage certificate as a relation certificate. Whereas unmarried couples do not have any such certificate. Nor can they go anywhere and get such a certificate made. Because there is no rule, law and procedure for this.
This rule has been implemented in Meerut
Now couples are required to show their relationship certificate for booking in Oyo. Whether they book online or offline, they will have to show their relationship certificate. Currently, this rule has been implemented in Meerut city of Uttar Pradesh. Regarding this, Oyo North Region Head Pavas Sharma said that ‘Oyo is committed to providing safe and responsible hospitality to the people. While we take care of people’s freedom and personal liberty, we also recognize our responsibility to listen to and work with law enforcement and civil society groups in the micro markets we operate in.’
