Pakistan Bomb Blast: A massive bomb blast has taken place in Akora Khattak of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan. This bomb blast took place during Friday prayers, in which many people are reported dead. The blast took place in a mosque, in which Maulana Hamid ul Haq Haqqani has died.

According to reports, Inspector General of Police of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed has told Pakistani media that at least four people have been killed and 12 injured in the blast at Darul Uloom Haqqaniya Mosque in Akora Khattak. According to reports, the blast took place during Friday prayers and many people are feared to be casualties. A large number of people were present in the mosque during the prayers.
An immediate alert has been issued at Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, which is about 45 minutes away from the spot. The hospital administration has been instructed to be ready to treat the injured. The hospital spokesperson has said that high alert and emergency has been declared in the medical facility to deal with any situation. According to Geo News, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Samiul Haq (JUI-S) leader Maulana Hamid ul Haq, who is the deputy maulana of the madrasa, was present in the mosque at the time of the blast. His son Sani Haqqani has said that his condition is critical. However, many reports have reported his death.

Massive bomb blast in mosque in Pakistan
KP Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed told Geo News that the incident was targeted and reports suggest that it was a suicide bombing. He said that so far three to four people have been reported dead, while 10 to 12 people have been injured. According to police officials, police teams are present at the blast site and searches are also going on in the surrounding areas. The IG has informed that forensic and investigation teams have been sent to the spot and district police officials are also present there.
This was the last Friday prayers before Ramadan, in which a huge crowd of Namazis gathered. The mosque is located in the premises of a madrasa, whose students were about to go on vacation. According to Geo News, the mosque is located in the center of Dar-ul-Uloom Haqqaniya, next to which is Dar-ul-Hadith. It is a large building where senior students do their studies. Nearby are the hostel and residential quarters where Maulana Samiul Haque and his sons live.
