Pakistan’s acting Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar said on Thursday that Israel is continuously carrying out bloodshed in Gaza, all efforts from our side will continue to stop it.
There has been a ban on celebrating the beginning of the new year 2024 in Pakistan. Pakistani acting Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar himself announced this on Thursday. He said that this decision has been taken to show solidarity towards the people of war-torn Gaza. In an address to the nation, Kakar appealed to show solidarity with Palestinians and exercise restraint in the New Year. He said, ‘The situation in Palestine is worrying. Keeping this in mind and to show affection towards our Palestinian brothers and sisters, the government will ban any New Year events.
According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, more than 20 thousand Palestinians have been killed so far in the war, mostly women and children. About 85 percent of Gaza’s 2.3 million people have left their homes. Given the intensification of attacks from Israel, more Gazans are expected to be displaced. Pakistan’s acting PM Kakar claimed that 9,000 children had died since Israeli bombardment began on 7 October. In this way Israeli soldiers have crossed all limits of violence and injustice. He said, ‘The entire Pakistan and the Muslim world is extremely angry over the massacre of innocents. There has been a massacre of children and unarmed Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
Will raise awareness about the plight of Palestinians: Kakar
Pakistan’s acting PM Kakar said that our country has sent 2 aid packages to Palestine and is preparing to send the third package. Kakar also mentioned Pakistan’s efforts to raise awareness about the plight of Palestinians at global forums. He said that bloodshed is being carried out by Israel in Gaza and our efforts will continue to stop it. Pakistan is fully committed to this. It is known that New Year is not celebrated on a large scale in Pakistan due to Islamic groups. These people have been trying to stop the celebrations through various means including use of force.
