Pan card Aadhar card link: Link your PAN card with Aadhaar before March 31, 2021: Know how to apply

Pan card aadhar card link: The finance ministry has listed several measures taken by the government in 2020 for the common people. The government also made access to several important documents available from the comfort of people’s homes in the wake of COVID-19.

As the year comes to an end, let us glance through the key initiatives/announcements along with their progress undertaken by Ministries of Finance & Corporate Affairs during the year, a Finance Ministry tweet said.

The last date for the Pan card aadhar card link has again been extended by the government. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) in June had issued a notification for extending the deadline for linking the date for linking Permanent Account Number (PAN) card with Aadhaar card. The date for linking the Pan card aadhar card link has been further been extended to March 31, 2021.

The previous deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar was June 30, 2020. As per the notification, if you do not link your PAN with your Aadhaar, then your PAN will become inoperative from April 1, 2021, and you will not be able to use your PAN to conduct the financial transactions wherever quoting of PAN is mandatory such as the opening of a bank account, etc.

The extension in the PAN-Aadhaar link deadline comes as good news for those PAN cardholders who have not yet reportedly linked their PAN with Aadhaar.

As per the current laws, it is mandatory to link your PAN with your Aadhaar number, if your Aadhaar is not linked with PAN then you will not be able to use your PAN to conduct financial transactions wherever quoting of PAN is mandatory. Including, the opening of a bank account, investing in a fixed deposit, filing of income tax returns, etc.
