According to Regional Passport Officer Ghaziabad IFS Anuj Swarup, notice was sent to the applicants with files before 2023, but not all of them have contacted the office.

All such files are getting closed automatically. Regional Passport Office Ghaziabad has given information in this regard. Passports for 13 districts of Western Uttar Pradesh are made here.

According to Regional Passport Officer Ghaziabad IFS Anuj Swarup, notice was sent to the applicants with files before 2023, but not all the applicants have contacted the office, due to which these files have been closed. Such applicants will have to apply again by paying fresh fees. A campaign is going on to end the pendency in the passport office. So that no passport is held.

These are the shortcomings in the application

Documents were not attached, due to which the date of birth is not clear. The police themselves were not present during verification. The police report has come to the contrary. The name and address filled in the form and the name and address recorded in the identity card were found to be different. Information about the case was not given in the application form. After the application the address was changed without informing the passport office. Due to all such shortcomings, the applications are on hold.

Agra, Aligarh, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Hathras, Mathura, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur and Shamli districts come under Ghaziabad Regional Passport Office, where passports are made.
