A passport official said that the server problem persisted across India on Wednesday as well. We are trying to fix this problem as soon as possible and everything should be fine soon.
Officials are giving only one answer
Pune resident Mahasku Phadtare has to go abroad for some urgent work. He told that PSK Pune-Ghorpadi office is closed due to server problem. His appointment was at 3.30 pm. He did not get any message or email of cancellation. He is waiting since 12.30 pm. Mahasku Phadtare said, ‘Officials are giving only one answer – reschedule your appointment or go to Solapur PSK. This is very difficult because I have to travel urgently for office work. This means that I have to postpone my work or go to some other city to get the passport made.
Try to reschedule the appointment
Mumbai RPO informed about this problem on social media. They wrote, Appointments for passport applications in all PSKs/POPSKs under Mumbai RPO have been cancelled till 1 pm today (Wednesday) due to server problem. Affected applicants can reschedule the appointment for a later date. Later they also said that those who have tried to reschedule the appointment three times will get another chance.
People troubled by server problems
Parents of young children are also facing a lot of problems. Rahul Singhvi wrote on X, ‘My child had a passport appointment, so he missed school. It would have been great if we were informed earlier.’ Pallav Kadhi, a businessman from Warje, said that he stood for hours in the scorching heat outside the passport office on Wednesday. Then he was told that all passport services have been closed for April 9. He will get another chance to reschedule the appointment. The next appointment date on the passport website is after one and a half months. Due to this, his business trip to Thailand has been cancelled.
