IHMCL has released the list of 32 banks from where users can buy Fastag for themselves. The name of Paytm Payments Bank has been removed from the list of banks providing Fastag. Now those who have Paytm Fastag will have to surrender it and buy new tags from authorized banks. This will affect about 2 crore users of Paytm.

After this you will get the option to switch off Paytm Fastag. You can also get your security money back by switching off Fastag from Paytm’s app.
How to turn off Fastag from the app
- Open Paytm App
- Now go to Help and Support option
- Click on Fastag option here
- Select Need Help option
- Now select the last option query related to updating fastag profile.
- Select your vehicle number
- Now complete details of your vehicle will be written.
- After this click on Yes option
- Select Close Fastag option
- Now Paytm will ask you about the reason for closing Fastag.
- Select the option to close Fastag and click on Proceed.
- Now a message will come from Paytm that your Fastag will be closed in 5 to 7 working days.
- You will have to remove the Fastag from the vehicle and upload its torn photo.
- Your security money will be refunded to Paytm Payments Bank wallet.
Transfer to bank account
After Paytm Fastag is deactivated, the security money will be deposited in your Paytm Payments Bank wallet. You will be informed about this through message from Paytm. After this you can use this refund or you can also transfer it to your bank account from here.
You can buy new Fastag from these banks
Paytm’s Fastag will no longer be able to be recharged after February 29. In such a situation, its users may have to face problems.
