Haryana old age pension: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the amount given under the old age pension scheme will soon be increased to Rs 3,000 per month. He also said that senior citizens do not need to go through the hassle of applying for pension when they turn 60 years of age as the pension is automatically given through the Family ID.
At present monthly old age honor allowance of Rs 2750 is being given. Khattar talked about increasing the pension while addressing a public dialogue program at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University in Hisar.
Removal of high tension wires
He said that a budget allocation of Rs 151 crore has been made to remove all the high tension wires passing over people’s houses in the state. According to an official statement, he directed the officials to strictly ensure that no construction takes place under these power lines in future.
